Apartment Review for Casa Linda - La Jolla, CA

Personal mold problems and other tenants also have bad mold issues. My bedroom carpet was pulled up and the foundation was treated then the padding and carpet was layed back down. The closet also had the same issues. Nothing was done here. IThis was all done with in the first week of moving in to the unit. I was offered to find another apartment complex and my money back. This was a nice offer however since just relocating to S. Cal. I had no choice but to still take the unit. I was not offered a hotel room while the week long process was being done. I had to sleep in the living room/kitchenet. For my troubles I was given a $50 gift certificate for Macys. Nice but a hotel would have been better. The apartment manager also has just opened my door with out warning. One day I was sleeping on the floor in the living room prior to the carpet being fixed. She was going to show the owner the carpet. She just assumed I was gone. Another time it was midnight and while my 12yr old was watching TV and on the phone w/me just opened the door and at seeing my son quickly closed the door. Another neighbor said she had the same issue. She used a door bar to keep her out. We did the same. The back gate which should be locked ended up having the door handle broken off. This was not repaired promptly. People could just come in with out a gate key. No parking except on the street. I myself have received 3 tickets. Many others have also due to the no parking on Sunday and Thursday evenings. Such a pain. The best part about the unit is the location. Perfect to walk to the stores, Restaurants and many beaches. Everyone is rather quiet. Very low rent for the area.
